Frankie & The Heartstrings at Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Right, I promise that this is the last time that I will post about Frankie and the Heartstrings (at least until their next tour) and tonight I will go back to posting hilarious anecdotes from my life mixed in with lists of things that I hate and pathetic weekly updates of how dull my existance is. I can't imagine who reads this stuff.

ANYWAY. Frankie and the Heartstrings were in Leeds last night, playing beautiful music and making people dance at Brudenell Social Club (on an only slightly related note, I once met Luke Pritchard there...nice). I've got a cold and I've had a headache since last Tuesday, so I was feeling pretty rough, but me and Hayley are very ambitious and we decided to walk to Brudenell from Leeds town centre when we had absolutely no idea where the venue was. Obviously we got lost and had to get a taxi which took us all the way back to about five minutes from where we'd walked to anyway, so the evening wasn't entirely without drama. But it was another smashing gig, even better than York, and I love this band more than I love Heinz beans on white toast, so getting to see them twice in one week was SUPER.

P.S. Brudenell Social Club is the best venue ever; it's like being in a living room that's been converted into a cinema that someone has decided to stick a stage in.

  2. Sadly I've only been twice, to see The Kooks (one of the best gigs ever) and Frankie & the Heartstrings. It's amazing though; it's like watching a gig in your living room! I love it! Who've you seen there? xx
