Inspire #10 - This is what I want my house to be like

You know that scene in Beauty and the Beast where the Beast wants to give Belle a present so he covers her eyes and leads her into the library? And then he swishes all the curtains open and the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and balconies and swirling staircases are revealed, and she opens her eyes and it's like magic? Yeah, when I was little I almost used to pee my pants with excitement every time that bit of the film was on. Still do, actually.

I have always been an avid reader, all my life, and I think that libraries and book shops are sometimes the most beautiful and peaceful places you can be. Old books especially are the best; they smell like dust and history. One of my favourite places that I have ever been is the New York City Public Library. It's next to - actually it is in - Bryant Park, where NYC fashion week is held (I once got model scouted there when I there during fashion week 2008, woah) and arcitechturally it is the most stunning building you can imagine. I've been twice to the library, and both times I was so jittery with excitement I could barely handle it.

When I get a house of my own, my walls are just going to be bookshelves. My bedroom is almost like that anyway now, with stacks of books piled up against the walls because I've run out of shelf space. Today's inspiration is thus:
